(Extract from the poem)

«…Abu Simbel. Light winter mist
announces the morning.
Far from civilization’s noise, in the midst of schist,
cuddled inside silence, mourning.

The pyramids of golden sand,
whose architect remains unknown,
are meditating, while caravans desert the land,
satisfied secretly to be unshown.

Where at dawn the temples open their doors
almost alone.
In memory of Gods’ wars,
the dune’s oasis, the Horus eye is thrown…»
